Objective

To give people a sneak peek of the completely refreshed Fluent Emoji system as they rolled out across Microsoft 365 products, celebrating the shift from flat 2D to expressive, animated 3D characters.

Solution

A combination of several short stories woven together. Together with Tendril, we refined the visuals down to bold forms and vibrant color palettes that made the emojis pop. The film brought the 3D emoji to life through designed environments and character animation, giving each emoji a narrative context and personality.
